Roofing Mainstay Partners With Susan G. Komen to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Anticipates More Beards Around the Office During "Movember" in Support of Male Health Issues

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 19, 2015) - Antis Roofing & Waterproofing -- one of Southern California's most trusted names in the roofing and decking industry and a respected leader in community philanthropy -- joins Susan G. Komen Orange County this month in supporting breast cancer awareness among the company's clients. Antis will also promote "Movember," an international campaign, which aims to increase awareness of men's health issues such as prostate cancer and other male health issues.

For the month of October, Antis is going pink -- from its logo, email signatures and social media to the company's sign in its Honda Center suite. As part of their regular work day, staff wear pink to display support for the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2015, an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S. according to BreastCancer.org.

Sales and marketing team members along with technicians are out in force to ensure clients in the property management industry have all the facts regarding breast cancer. In addition to handing out pink giveaways, Antis staff are sharing information on the importance of knowing the risks, getting screened and making healthy lifestyle choices.

For Movember, Antis staff will engage with clients to spread awareness about men's health issues. Last year, the campaign was a rallying cry in support of Mike King, a close family friend of Charles and Dawn Antis, who has been battling prostate cancer.

A highlight of Movember is a world-wide beard-growing contest to help bring the fight against male health issues to the spotlight. By encouraging men (whom the Movember Foundation refers to as "Mo Bros") to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths.

In addition to participation in these annual observances, Antis supports numerous charitable causes and humanitarian efforts worldwide all year long, and has donated roof installation for every single build for Orange County Habitat for Humanity projects since 2009.
