Apexon Releases Enhanced Solution for Active Supply Management

Supplier Performance Dashboards, Alerting Added to On-Demand Suite

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 11, 2006 -- Apexon, a leading provider of active supply management solutions for manufacturing, today released Apexon SPM 2.5, the latest version of the company's on-demand Supply Performance Management (SPM) suite.

Apexon SPM 2.5 automates and streamlines direct materials supply management, including supplier scorecarding and performance analytics. The subscription software service allows manufacturing companies to analyze and act on critical supplier cost, quality and delivery data. New features allow users and teams to generate personalized supplier performance scorecards and dashboards, set proactive performance alerts across multiple data dimensions, and instantly analyze millions of supplier, part, plant, and supply team combinations and relationships.

New features in Apexon SPM 2.5 include:

-- Dashboard -- a new add-on module that provides graphical trends of
aggregate supplier performance and simplifies the process for monitoring
    key performance indicators (KPI).
-- Supply Team Dimension -- an enhancement to the core data model that
allows rapid monitoring and analysis of team or department-specific
information to proactively manage a key subset of suppliers.
"With supply disruptions and cost pressures on the rise, many manufacturing companies are looking for ways to become more proactive with their supply base," said Kevin Brooks, vice president of marketing, Apexon. "Apexon SPM 2.5 enables that proactive relationship by streamlining the traditional, labor-intensive supplier scorecarding process and by quickly aligning key stakeholders across the supply chain."
