APF Canada Applauds New Long-Term Multi-Entry Visas for Travellers to China

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 9, 2015) - The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) today applauded China's announcement of 10-year multiple-entry visas for Canadian business and tourist visitors.

The Foundation strongly supports measures that facilitate Canada's engagement with China and Asia, which play a critical role in Canada's current and future prosperity.

An APF Canada study of Canadian companies doing business in China shows that 64 per cent are profitable or very profitable, and 83 per cent are planning to expand their business.

"Access to a 10-year multiple-entry visa means that Canadian companies and other stakeholders wanting to explore or expand their links with China will be able to do so with greater ease and efficiency," said APF Canada President and CEO Stewart Beck.

"This is good news for trade, education, and tourism - it will enhance people-to-people ties between our two countries," added Beck. "Our organization's goal is to build Canada's bridges with Asia, and the new MEV helps us do that."

Effective today, Canadians travelling to China may submit their request for the new multi-entry visa to Chinese Consulates and authorities.
