APF Canada Launches 2013/2014 Media and Post-Graduate Fellowship Program

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 19, 2012) - The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) today announced the details of its 2013-2014 Media and Post-Graduate Research Fellowship programs.

This year, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, supported in part by Cathay Pacific Airways, will award up to three media fellowships, valued at up to C$10,000 each, to up-and-coming and established Canadian journalists and reporters, giving them the opportunity to spend time in Asia, researching and preparing stories. The program aims to give Canadian journalists 'on-the-ground' experience to become better informed about Asia and the Canada-Asia relationship and to share original and interesting stories from the region.

As a new feature of the media fellowship program, selected recipients will receive a two-night stay in Hong Kong and fly Premium Economy Class, courtesy of Hong Kong's airline, Cathay Pacific Airways. The Post-Graduate Research Fellowship is granted to three recent graduates each year, and is valued at C$38,000 and C$40,000 annually for Master and PhD graduates, respectively.
