Aplix to Offer Tailored Version of JBlend™ for ACCESS' NetFront®

TOKYO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 4, 2005 -- Aplix Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryu Koriyama) unveiled today that "JBlend(TM) for NetFront®", a tailored version of its JBlend Java(TM) platform specially designed to be seamlessly integrated with NetFront, the browser product of ACCESS CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toru Arakawa), is made available to the market.

JBlend for NetFront expands JBlend's functionality, and is developed to enable and enhance the interaction between JBlend and NetFront, taking full advantage of NetFront's HTTP and other capabilities. With the cooperation of ACCESS, Aplix intends to provide a full palette of new solutions based on JBlend for NetFront.

ACCESS Executive Vice President and CTO, Dr. Tomihisa Kamada, said, "ACCESS's NetFront engine has been widening its installation platform, and is now installed in over 200 million devices.
