Aplix's New Technology Brings DOCOMO's i-appli Contents to Various Open Platforms Including Windows Mobile, S60, Android, iPhone, and Portable Game Devices

TOKYO--(Marketwire - February 19, 2009) - Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727), with the cooperation of NTT DOCOMO (TSE: 9437), has developed an automated conversion technology that makes it easy to provide i-applis®, which are provided for NTT DOCOMO's I-mode® service, to various open platforms including Windows Mobile, S60, Android, iPhone, and portable game devices that are becoming increasingly prevalent worldwide.

With this new technology, advanced and exciting i-appli games and content from Japan which are provided for i-mode handsets can be automatically converted into applications for various open platforms. To maintain the same level of quality as the applications developed specifically for each platform, the converted applications will automatically be able to support unique features of the target platform such as stroking the touch panel and changing the orientation of the screen.
