NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2014) - Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV) (the "Company" or "Apollo Investment") announced today it plans to make a public offering of 12.0 million shares of its common stock. The Company also plans to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1.8 million shares of common stock. The offering of the shares will be made under the Company's shelf registration statement (as amended), which was filed with, and declared effective by, the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Apollo Investment expects to use the net proceeds of this offering to repay certain outstanding indebtedness owed under its Senior Secured Facility.
