Apollo Investment Corporation Announces Second Fiscal Quarter Dividend of $0.43 per Share

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2005 -- Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV) announces that its Board of Directors has declared a second fiscal quarter dividend of $0.43 per share, payable on September 29, 2005 to shareholders of record as of September 22, 2005. The ex-dividend date is September 20, 2005. The dividend is paid from taxable earnings whose specific tax characteristics will be reported to shareholders on Form 1099 after the end of the year.
