Apollo Investment Corporation Prices Public Offering of Common Stock

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 11, 2007 -- Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV) announced today that it has increased its previously announced public offering of 16 million shares of Common Stock to 18 million shares, and has priced the offering of such shares at a price of $22.44 per share, raising approximately $403.92 million of gross proceeds. The Company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 2,700,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on January 18, 2007.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay amounts outstanding under its senior credit facility, to make investments in portfolio companies and for general corporate purposes.
