Apollo Investment Corporation Prices Public Offering of Common Stock

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 13, 2007) - Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV) announces that it has priced its public offering of 13.0 million shares of its common stock at an offering price of $20.00 per share, raising $260 million of gross proceeds. The Company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1.95 million shares to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on September 18, 2007.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay amounts outstanding under its senior credit facility, to make investments in portfolio companies and for general corporate purposes.
