App Streaming Company Agawi Expands Its True Cloud Offering to Amazon EC2 G2 Instances

Agawi True Cloud to Stream Apps With Low Latency to 4G or WiFi-Enabled Smartphones, Tablets and Computers

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 5, 2013) - Today, Agawi is announcing that it is bringing Agawi's True Cloud app streaming platform to G2 instances on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Launched today, Amazon EC2 G2 instances are designed for applications that require 3D graphics capabilities and help customers build high-performance applications without expensive up-front capital expenses. Agawi has been using True Cloud with Amazon EC2 CPU instances for over two years with thousands of concurrent servers, and will now further its collaboration with AWS by bringing its True Cloud platform to Amazon GPU-enabled instances to stream graphically rich, interactive applications to mobile devices.

Agawi's True Cloud is the world's number one platform for streaming apps to mobile devices, and has already streamed over half a billion minutes worldwide while streaming over 3 million minutes a day. By enabling apps to be virtualized in the cloud and streamed to mobile devices, Agawi offers app developers multiple benefits related to development and deployment of their apps with zero changes.

"This is a big step forward in virtualizing apps in the cloud and cost-effectively streaming them to any mobile device in the world with the lowest interactive latency possible. We are leveraging our cutting-edge technology and work with AWS to deliver a compelling and scalable platform for multiple use cases," said Rohan Relan, CEO and co-founder of Agawi.
