Appature Appoints Enterprise Marketing and Strategic Alliances Veteran Jigish Avalani as EVP, Global Marketing and Alliances

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Aug 20, 2012) -  Appature Inc., a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider for life sciences marketers, today announced the appointment of enterprise software and brand management veteran Jigish Avalani to the position of executive vice president, global marketing and alliances. In this role, Avalani will be responsible for global marketing, product management, strategic alliances and corporate development.

Avalani, a technology thought leader and innovation architect, brings to Appature more than two decades of experience successfully building and profitably managing both complex global technology organizations and start-ups. Building on a foundation that includes multiple senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Avalani will optimize all aspects of Appature's approach to bringing products to market and building effective alliances with leading life sciences focused agencies and IT consulting firms.

Prior to joining Appature, Avalani served in a variety of sales, marketing, product management, channel & alliance partnerships and developer evangelism roles at Microsoft. Most recently, he led global market development for enterprise architecture services and grew the enterprise business to outperform revenue targets and increase customer satisfaction. Earlier, Avalani drove marketing and business development for a software startup in the Washington, D.C. area. He started his career as a consultant and practice manager in the telecommunications industry.

Avalani received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Bombay University in Bombay, India, and his Masters in EE from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He currently serves on the boards of Insyndia Global and VoIP-Connections.
