Appia Receives Receipt for Long Form Non-Offering Prospectus


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 19, 2012) - Appia Energy Corp. ("Appia" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that effective December 14, 2012, it received a receipt from the Ontario Securities Commission for the Company's Long Form Non-Offering Prospectus dated December 12, 2012 (the "Prospectus"). The Prospectus has been filed under Multilateral Instrument 11-102 Passport System in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. A receipt for the Prospectus is deemed to be issued by the regulator in each of those jurisdictions, if the conditions of the Instrument have been satisfied.

As a result of this process, Appia is now a reporting issuer in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Full particulars relating to the Company are set out in the Prospectus which is available for review at www.sedar.com. The Company intends to monitor the market conditions and plans to complete a financing when the market conditions improve.
