Applebee's® Thanks Neighbourhood Veterans and Active Duty Military With a Free Meal on Remembrance Day

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2010) - In what is quickly becoming a celebrated tradition, Applebee's Grill & Bar® restaurants are honouring Canada's veterans and actively serving Canadian Forces with a free meal and heartfelt "thanks" this Remembrance Day.

"Remembrance Day is so important to Canadians", said Brian Simowitz, Regional General Manager – Canada. "It's a time for our military to connect with fellow service men and women, swap stories and support each other. For us, serving those who serve our country is a true honour. We're looking forward to hosting our heroes again this year."

Applebee's Remembrance Day menu will offer veterans signature and favourite items, including the:
8 oz House Steak
Chicken Fingers Platter
Double Crunch Shrimp
Fiesta Lime Chicken
Bacon Cheeseburger
Oriental Chicken Salad
Three-Cheese Chicken Penne

At Applebee's across the country last year, members of the military met with old friends, made new ones and celebrated their dedication to Canada.

Veterans and active duty military will need to provide proof of service, which includes a service card, medal, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform.
