Appleton® LED Lighting Launch Online Parts Catalog of 3D CAD Models Powered by CADENAS PARTsolutions

Hazardous and Industrial Location Lighting Manufacturer Now Provides Configurable 3D CAD Models and 3D PDF Data Sheets via Their Online Parts Catalog

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - February 18, 2016) -  Appleton Group, a business unit of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has recently launched an all-new online parts catalog for their line of Appleton® hazardous and industrial location LED illumination products. The catalog enables users to configure their specific Appleton product and download in the CAD or document format they prefer. This feature is great for busy engineers, helping them to quickly specify Appleton products into their design or to quickly share PDF files with their procurement department.

Appleton is a trusted manufacturer of a broad range of electrical products including conduit and cable fittings, plugs and receptacles, enclosures and controls, and conduit bodies in addition to their extensive hazardous and industrial lighting line.

The interactive online parts catalog is major component of Appleton's initiative to improve the customer experience. Formerly, engineers would contact Appleton's engineering team by phone or email to request digital models for their designs. The process typically took a matter of days and Appleton could only provide files in a few formats. Now, the process is simple and intuitive, engineers have on-demand access to digital models of Appleton LED lighting products. Users simply log-on to configure the product they need and can download in more than 150 native and neutral formats.

"Our goal was to increase ease of use and access for our users," says Kerry Nedic, Vice President of Marketing for Appleton Group. "We know if we can provide increased value by making our products easy to specify, we can more quickly solve our customers problems and become a trusted resource for future projects and applications. A secondary benefit is increased efficiency for our internal engineering team. The process to fulfill customer CAD requests was cumbersome for multiple departments, now that responsibility has been completely eliminated. This is truly a win-win for our customers and the Appleton Engineering Team."

"Appleton is taking major steps to be the easiest manufacturer to do business with," says Rob Zesch, President and COO of CADENAS PARTsolutions. "They have removed all of the hurdles their users might encounter when specifying an Appleton product. Not only will their customers love them for it, but their engineering team will too."
