Appointment of Ms. Kathleen Fox to the Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 30, 2011) - The Honourable Peter Penashue, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada today announced the re-appointment of Ms. Kathleen Fox to the Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board.

Ms. Fox of Gatineau has had a long career in transportation safety, beginning in 1974 as an air traffic controller with Transport Canada, serving in control towers in Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Saint-Hubert and Montréal-Dorval, as well as at the Montréal Area Control Centre.

Ms. Fox left operational controlling in 1992 to work at Air Traffic Services Headquarters in Ottawa, moving to NAV CANADA in 1996 where she held a number of senior positions including Vice President, Operations.
