Appointment of Isabelle Courville to the Board of Miranda Technologies

MONTREAL, Jan. 16 - Miranda Technologies Inc (TSX:MT), a
manufacturer of high performance hardware and software for the television
broadcast industry, is pleased to announce that Isabelle Courville has been
appointed to its Board of Directors, and will chair the Human Resources and
Governance Committee. Ms. Courville replaces Mr. Bruno Riverin who regretfully
passed away.

Isabelle Courville has extensive telecommunications, technology,
financial and legal experience. Before joining Hydro-Québec, as President of
Hydro-Québec TransEnergie, Ms. Courville spent most of her career in the
telecommunications industry, with Bell Canada. At Bell, she held a number of
executive-level positions, including Senior Vice-President - Supply Chain and
Capital Management, where she administered Bell's Capital program and oversaw
the planning and monitoring of Bell Canada's investments in technology. Most
recently, Isabelle Courville served as President Enterprise, Bell Canada. The
Enterprise business segment comprises Bell Canada's 1,000 largest customers
from the private and public sectors and generates $3 billion in revenues.

Isabelle Courville holds a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from
the Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal and a bachelor's degree in civil law from
McGill University. For the second year, Ms. Courville was awarded Canada's
Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award in the Corporate Executives category
awarded by Women's Executive Network (WXN).
