Appointment to Board of Trustees of Canadian Museum of Nature

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 21, 2008) - The Honourable Josee Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, today announced the appointment of Erin Rankin Nash as a member of the Canadian Museum of Nature Board of Trustees.

"I am pleased Erin Rankin Nash has accepted this position," said Minister Verner. "Her experience in the community field will be an asset for the Museum of Nature."

Ms. Rankin Nash is an active participant in the community life of London, Ontario, and in a number of fundraising activities. She was a member of the Consent and Capacity Board, an independent institution created by the Government of Ontario under the Health Care Consent Act. Ms. Rankin Nash, a recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, has been a member of numerous boards, committees, and foundations, including the TVO Foundation Board, YMCA of London, St. Joseph's Health Care London, London Health Sciences Centre, and Big Sisters of London. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
