Appointment to the Board of Trustees of Canada Science and Technology Museum

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 15, 2008) - The Honourable Josee Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, today announced the appointment of Frederic Dugre as a part-time member of the Board of Trustees of the Canada Science and Technology Museum.

"Mr. Dugre's innovative spirit and his business experience will be valuable assets for the Canada Science and Technology Museum," said Minister Verner.

Frederic Dugre holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Universite Laval. He has achieved distinction through his leadership, vitality, and curiosity about new technologies. Mr. Dugre's partnership-building skills and commercialization of new water treatment products have contributed to the growth of H2O Innovation, a company he co-founded and for which he serves as president, and Chief Officer of Operations.

The Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation is responsible for preserving and protecting Canada's scientific and technological heritage and promoting and sharing knowledge about that heritage. The Corporation and its three museums-the Canada Agriculture Museum, the Canada Aviation Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum-tell the stories of Canadian ingenuity and achievement in science and technology and demonstrate how these accomplishments have contributed to building our country.
