Appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Nature

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 27, 2008) - The Honourable Josee Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women, Official Languages and Minister for La Francophonie, today announced the appointment of Mark Muise to the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Nature.

"Mr. Muise's wealth of experience in administration and in community service will make him an asset to the Canadian Museum of Nature," said Minister Verner

A Certified Financial Planner with his own practice, Mr. Muise continues to help clients manage life insurance, disability and critical insurance, investments, and retirement planning. He is also dedicated to serving his community, having acted as Chair of the Board of Governors at Universite Sainte-Anne and as Chair of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation MRI Fundraising Campaign. He also served as a Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2000.

Mr. Muise's current activities include membership in the Yarmouth Rotary Club and serving as Vice-Chair and Member of the Finance Committee of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation.
