Appointment to the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 17, 2015) - Infrastructure Canada

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced the appointment of Dominique Bouchard to the board of directors of The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) for a term of four years.

Mr. Bouchard brings extensive experience in the business world to the board. Over the course of his more than 30-year career with Rio Tinto Alcan, Mr. Bouchard held a variety of executive positions. He was also President of Rio Tinto Fer et Titane from 2010 to 2013. Mr. Bouchard is currently the Vice-Rector of Resources at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC).

  • JCCBI is a Crown Corporation that operates at arm's length from the government and reports to Parliament through the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs.
  • JCCBI owns and operates four federal transportation corridors in the Montreal area, including the Champlain Bridge, the Jacques Cartier Bridge, the Melocheville Tunnel and the federal section of the Honoré Mercier Bridge.
