Apprio to Create Model Contract Management Office for the DoD's Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Apr 4, 2012) - Apprio, a leading provider of specialized technology solutions, particularly for the health, defense and homeland security markets, today announced it has won a contract with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) to create a blueprint for a model Contract Management Office (CMO).

The DCMA is the Department of Defense (DoD) component that works directly with defense suppliers to help ensure that DoD, federal and allied government supplies and services are delivered on time, at projected cost, and meet all performance requirements. The agency administers and oversees contracts that have a face-value of over $1.6 trillion.

Under the contract, Apprio is providing a model CMO of the future for DCMA. This will help the agency define how to eliminate waste, increase efficiencies, structure new budgets and increase competencies. Apprio's work will include an assessment, market research and recommendations for building a model CMO.

"Federal agencies are under increasing pressure to do more with less," said Darryl F. Britt, President of Apprio. "We are pleased to assist DCMA in identifying the critical processes, structures and efficiencies that will help them build a model CMO of the future."
