Approva Teams With RSA, The Security Division of EMC, to Automate Governance, Risk and Compliance Processes

Integrated Solution Reduces Risks and Lowers Costs of Compliance by Automating the Process of Testing and Monitoring Controls Using the RSA Archer eGRC Platform

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - Aug 2, 2011) - Approva® Corporation, the leader in continuous controls monitoring (CCM) and audit automation software, today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured® Partner Program to certify interoperability between Approva One and the RSA Archer™ eGRC Platform from RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC). The interoperability will help enable organizations to use Approva's continuous controls monitoring (CCM) suite, Approva One, to automatically monitor and test their controls for core financial applications including SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft and then publish that control evidence and associated contextual information in the RSA Archer eGRC Platform.

"The integration of Approva One with the RSA Archer eGRC Platform demonstrates our continued commitment to expand customer value through integrations with interoperability partners that provide complementary and strategic solutions for both of our organizations," said David Walter, Senior Director Product Marketing, RSA, The Security Division of EMC. "By expanding our continuous analytic and monitoring capabilities beyond the IT infrastructure, our joint customers can obtain timely analytics regarding the status of financial and operational controls."

The interoperability will enable organizations to relate control procedures documented in a single system known as the RSA Archer™ Compliance Management solution. From that solution, users can directly access rules in Approva One in order to continuously monitor the status of a control. Additionally, when Approva One identifies a control breakdown or a potential risk, it will publish that information, along with additional business context, back into the RSA Archer eGRC Platform. This interoperability is designed to provide users with a "closed-loop" process to monitor the overall compliance posture in the context of their overall risk and compliance framework.

"Since customers are implementing more mature governance, risk and compliance processes, they are seeking more cost-effective ways to mitigate risk and lower their overall compliance costs," said Elisabet Hardy, Vice President Product Management, Approva. "RSA Archer eGRC Platform customers will now be able to automate the testing of critical application controls and monitor business transactions to identify errors, anomalies and instances of fraudulent activity."

RSA and Approva will demonstrate their interoperability in a joint webcast on Thursday, August 18 at 1 p.m. EDT. Online registration for the webcast is available at
