Approval Process for Clyvia Plants Initiated in France and Spain

POINT ROBERTS, WASHINGTON--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 19, 2006) - Clyvia Inc. (OTCBB:CLYV) announced today that applications have been made to obtain government licenses and approvals for the construction of Clyvia plants in France and Spain. The applications were filed by Energy Recycling Systems Sarl ("ERS"), the exclusive distributor for Clyvia plants in those countries. ERS has also applied for VAT ratings for Clyvia plants in France and Spain.

ERS has notified Clyvia's wholly owned subsidiary, Clyvia Technology GmbH ("Clyvia Technology"), that it expects to obtain the necessary licenses and approvals from the French government by the end of December, and from the Spanish government by the end of February. ERS expects the VAT rating process to be completed in advance of obtaining the licenses. Once ERS has obtained all of the necessary government approvals, it has informed Clyvia Technology that it intends to order two Clyvia plants.

Based in Crespieres, France, ERS has the exclusive right to distribute Clyvia plants within France, Spain and Portugal. The Clyvia plants are recycling/processing plants based on Clyvia Technology's fractional depolymerization technology and are designed to process plastics and waste oil into diesel fuel and heating oil. Under the terms of the exclusive distribution contract between Clyvia Technology and ERS, ERS is responsible for obtaining all government approvals and licenses necessary to construct and operate Clyvia plants within the contracted territories.
