Apps put Edmonton on PHIRE

The company's biggest current success was development of a smartphone app solution— "U Park." The application is a consumer-focused product that displays GPS coordinates and gives turn by turn directions to the nearest Precise ParkLink (West) parking lot, along with rates and other valuable information. The Building Owners and Managers Association of Edmonton (BOMA) presented Precise ParkLink (West) the 2011 Pinnacle Award for Innovation for the smartphone application, developed by PHIRE Interactive.

The award has led to international attention with PHIRE being asked to adapt the application to assist parking companies in Canada, the United States, and Asian countries and a European team is currently working on developing more robust integrative capabilities the "U Park" app lends itself to.

The attention has also yielded a variety of other strategic relationships world-wide and numerous Alberta firms are already contracting software development with the company.
