The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Gupta was selected as a finalist from nearly 90 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special award gala on June 10, 2011 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers.

By adhering to these values, we've built Apptio into one of today's fastest growing enterprise software companies."

Mr. Gupta co-founded Apptio in 2007 with the mission to create a Technology Business Management system for CIOs so that they could run their IT organization like a business. Prior to Apptio, he served as EVP Products at Opsware up to the company's acquisition by HP for over $1.6 billion. Before that, Mr. Gupta was the Co-Founder and CEO of iConclude, which pioneered the IT runbook automation market. In less than two years, Mr. Gupta drove the company's acquisition by Opsware for approximately $70 million. He has also run the Java/.NET performance management product group for Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP); served as VP of Marketing and Business Development at Performant (acquired by Mercury Interactive); and served as General Manager of Business Development at Rational Software (acquired by IBM for more than $2 billion).
