Après-Cocktails: "The Cure" for the Common Hangover Arrives in Ski Country

Copper Mountain First U.S. Ski Resort to Offer the Hangover Remedy

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - November 26, 2007) - For skiers, après-ski is a fun way to relax after a long day on the slopes. But high altitude, body fatigue and alcohol can mean that the next day isn't as much fun as the night before. This season, Copper Mountain in Summit County, Colo., is the first ski resort to give visitors "The Cure" for the common hangover. The Cure is a tropical-flavored powdered mix that effectively alleviates hangover symptoms when taken after alcohol consumption.

The Cure, the first healthy, all-natural, hangover remedy to relieve the negative effects of alcohol, is now available at five locations in The Village at Copper, including Endo's Adrenaline Café, Jack's Bar, JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern, Pizza Carlo, and Storm King Lounge.

"Copper is excited to work with The Cure and offer our guests who want to party responsibly a way to help them hit the slopes the next morning and enjoy Copper's skiing and riding," said Chris Inman, assistant director of food and beverage for Copper Mountain.

The Cure alleviates common hangover symptoms such as headaches, nausea, dehydration, fatigue and upset stomach, and is the only product that successfully addresses the root cause of a hangover from a biological perspective. Unlike other common home remedies such as sports drinks and pain relievers, The Cure purges toxins, rehydrates the body, and restores vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and nutrients lost during alcohol consumption. The result: the first product for social drinkers to gain "day-after" energy without the use of caffeine.

"Though the Cure was developed to help with hangover symptoms, it is also the perfect way to refuel your body after a workout," said Rob Scholl, president and chief executive officer of Rescue Beverage Corporation, manufacturer of The Cure. "The body is depleted of so many resources during an all-day endurance workout like skiing, and The Cure will help Copper visitors feel 100 percent, alcohol or not."

The Cure was developed and launched in 2007 by a team of University of Colorado graduates, including Colorado native Scholl. The Cure is also available for purchase throughout Colorado ski country including the Vail Valley and Beaver Creek, in hundreds of liquor and convenience stores across the country, and online at
