Aptimus Announces Management Promotions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 16, 2007 -- Aptimus, Inc. (NASDAQ: APTM), the Point-of-Action™ online advertising network, today announced the promotion of two executives in its drive to further expand the advantages of its unique transactional advertising network and its use among direct advertiser clients. Mike Mayor was promoted to an expanded role as Senior Vice President of Sales. In addition, Michael Sullivan was promoted to an expanded role as Senior Vice President of Media Services & Marketing.

In his expanded role, Mike Mayor will lead Aptimus' client-focused sales team that will assist a growing base of leading interactive advertisers in reaching active, targeted, engaged audiences in an ROI-sensitive and brand-protective manner. Mayor had previously served as the company's SVP of Strategic Market Development where he repositioned Aptimus as the Point-of-Action network and developed a major new ad category (Personal Electronics, Communications and Entertainment). Mike brings more than 20 years of direct/online marketing experience to the role. Before joining Aptimus, Mike was President of NetCreations, the industry's leading email marketing list network. Prior to that, Mayor worked in various direct marketing roles for Hearst Magazines.

In his expanded role, Michael Sullivan will oversee and refine Aptimus' product and marketing strategy, as well as its ongoing publisher relationships and publisher and advertiser optimization programs. Michael's experience at Aptimus and background prior to the company makes him uniquely qualified to lead this charge. Sullivan joined Aptimus in 2006 with an extensive career in media, marketing and interactive advertising, including leadership roles at iCrossing, The Lowe Group, IDG Communications, Pinnacle Systems and several interactive advertising agencies.
