Aptimus, Inc. Named One of Silicon Valley's Fastest Growing Internet, Media & Entertainment and Communication Companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program

Attributes Unique Approach to Performance-Based Marketing and New Relationships With Leading Publishers and Advertisers to Its 748% Revenue Growth

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 26, 2006 -- Aptimus, Inc. (NASDAQ: APTM) has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Silicon Valley, a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2001 to 2005.

Aptimus, Inc. experienced an increase in revenues of 748%, growing from revenues of $1.8 million in 2001 to revenues of $15.9 million in 2005. The revenue growth resulted in a 10th ranking in the Internet, Media & Entertainment and Communication category of the Technology Fast 50 for the Silicon Valley.

Aptimus President and CEO, Rob Wrubel, attributes the 748% revenue growth to developing a performance-based marketing platform that places transactional advertisements in the areas of consumer engagement like downloading or logging in. Aptimus moved from a promotional approach to online advertising in 2001 to a robust Point-of-Action™ technology platform in 2006. The company currently distributes and manages transactional advertising for brand-name advertisers and leading Web publishers.

"Aptimus has transformed as a company over the past five years," said Wrubel. "We have developed a business model that brings transactional advertising to the world's largest brands and we have built relationships with leading publishers and advertisers. We are honored to be recognized for our hard work over the past five years."

"To rank on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years," said Mark Jensen, National Director of the Venture Capital Services Group for Deloitte & Touche LLP. "Aptimus has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in the Silicon Valley, and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality."

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues, or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.

Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies.
