Aptimus Re-Engages Genesis Select to Maximize Shareholder Value

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 28, 2007 -- Aptimus, Inc. (NASDAQ: APTM), the Point-of-Action™ online advertising network, today announced that it has re-engaged Genesis Select Corporation to refresh and implement a comprehensive institutional investor relations program. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Genesis Select will work closely with the Aptimus management team to re-introduce portfolio managers, buy and sell side analysts, and the investment community at large to the company's strategy. Genesis Select will help communicate to Wall Street the company's investment merits anchored by its powerful marketing platform, its unique approach to lead generation online, and its successful relationships with leading publishers like AOL.

"Genesis Select has demonstrated a proven ability to generate significant investor interest in Aptimus during their past engagement, and management believes that it is once again time to reacquaint Wall Street with our story, and we believe Genesis Select is the proper partner for this communication," said Rob Wrubel, CEO of Aptimus, Inc. "Now that Aptimus is in the final stages of completing its business transformation toward a focus on the top publishers and top advertisers in the industry, it's time to share our story with leading investors," added Wrubel.

"Aptimus provides a unique model of pay-for-performance that allows advertisers to generate high quality leads from the Internet via Aptimus' proprietary advertising technology platform, while enabling some of the web's largest publishers to monetize traffic in site locations that haven't traditionally generated significant revenues," said Budd Zuckerman, president of Genesis Select. "The re-defined Aptimus approach continues to generate some of the industry's highest CPMs. Aptimus has a blue chip customer base of Fortune 500 companies among its advertisers and participating publishers. We look forward to re-introducing the company to Wall Street," added Zuckerman.
