Aquacell Water Trading Symbol Update

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 2, 2006 -- In response to numerous shareholder inquiries, AquaCell Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: AQUA) announced today that it is continuing to await the issuance of a trading symbol by the NASD for Aquacell Water, Inc. which was recently spun-off from AquaCell Technologies.

Aquacell Water shares were registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and declared effective as of March 13, 2006. Appropriate forms were filed with the NASD by a market maker thereafter, and additional information was subsequently provided at the NASD's request on April 21st.

Neither Aquacell Water nor AquaCell Technologies exercise any control over the timing of the issuance of the symbol. Once a symbol has been assigned, trading of Aquacell Water shares may commence.
