AquaStar Holdings, Inc.'s Wholly Owned Subsidiary to Develop Water-Based Air Conditioning System

Company Begins Joint Development Effort With Absolute Graphic Technologies USA, Inc.

SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) - AquaStar Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: RPPR) is pleased to announce that the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Aqua Star Corporation, and its joint development partner, Absolute Graphic Technologies USA Inc., are working collaboratively to develop a high efficiency water based air conditioning system.

The system is based upon patented technology developed at Texas A&M University, which has been licensed by AquaStar and is being commercialized into a product. The AquaStar air conditioner does not require any chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) gases such as Freon® or its derivatives as a refrigerant media and is expected to deliver SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 30 or better in typical Southwestern United States humidity environments.

The AquaStar air conditioner will be available in tonnage sizes appropriate for single and multi-family residential housing units. The first design concept for AquaStar's water-based air conditioner is targeted for completion by the end of the second quarter with production units available in the third quarter 2011.

Under the terms of the development agreement, AquaStar will retain exclusive ownership of all rights, title, and interest including but not limited to patent rights, copyrights, trade secrets, database rights and all other intellectual property rights.

Absolute Graphic Technologies USA Inc has been manufacturing high end chillers and temperature control systems for the printing industry for over a decade and has recently completed projects including a first-of-its-kind medical waste processing unit.

There is a large and growing demand for high‐efficiency air conditioning systems in both the residential and light‐commercial marketplace, including new construction, replacement, and retrofit segments. In the US there are over 76 million air conditioning units installed in homes and small commercial buildings. As the universal demand for heating and air conditioning has grown, so has the consumption and cost of electricity. Residential air conditioners in the United States consume about 5 percent of all the electricity produced in the United States, at a cost of over $11 billion to homeowners. As a result, roughly 150 million tons of carbon dioxide is released into the air each year, an average of about two tons for each home with an air conditioner.

"We look forward to working collaboratively with Absolute Graphic Technologies on the development of our system," stated Malcolm Lennie, Chairman of AquaStar Holdings, Inc. "Their expertise in manufacturing and design will play an essential role in the execution of the final product."
