Aquatic Informatics Announces AQUARIUS Time-Series Version 3.7-Intuitive Software for Managing Big Water Quality & Quantity Data

AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.7 features freehand data correction and up to 10 times performance gains.

VANCOUVER, CANADA--(Marketwired - Sept. 25, 2014) - Aquatic Informatics Inc., a global leader in providing innovative software for hydrologic data management and analysis, today announced the release of AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.7. A new freehand data correction feature and faster performance further enhance the intuitive user experience.

"Most environmental monitoring organizations, small and large, have deployed continuous monitoring equipment. Common office applications simply cannot handle the volume and complexity of time series water data being generated today. Organizations need a solution that is intuitive, fast, and robust to turn big water data into actionable, timely insight," said Eric Dorgelo, Chief Technology Officer at Aquatic Informatics. "AQUARIUS Time-Series has long been established as the leading modern solution for managing massive volumes of water quality and quantity data. Version 3.7 is faster and simpler to use, featuring new freehand data correction and up to 10 times performance gains. I would like to encourage all organizations generating continuous water data to contact Aquatic Informatics to request a demonstration of AQUARIUS Time-Series Version 3.7 to see how they can discover new insight from their water data."

AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.7 Highlights

Freehand Data Correction. It is easier than ever to estimate continuous water data. The AQUARIUS Time-Series Data Correction toolbox now features "freehand" correction, allowing users to estimate data by simply tracing with a mouse over the plotted data.

Faster Performance with Big Environmental Data. AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.7 features significant performance gains when working with complex time series. It is now up to 10 times faster to open toolboxes for large time series that contain many corrections.

Enhancements to Statistical Derivation. A statistically derived time series can now contain data aggregated on an hourly basis. Daily aggregations can now have a start time set to any time (i.e. it is no longer required to be from midnight to midnight).

Other Improvements. AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.7 delivers a number of additional enhancements, including an improved parser for YSI files and support for negative threshold values.

AQUARIUS Time-Series is the leading software for water data management. The world's most advanced environmental monitoring agencies, including the US Geological Survey, Water Survey of Canada, and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in New Zealand, trust AQUARIUS Time-Series to achieve higher data integrity, defensibility, and timeliness. Its simple design delivers the latest science and industry techniques in an intuitive interface. It allows water resource managers to correct and quality control time series data, build better rating curves, and derive and publish water data in real-time to meet stakeholder expectations.

All AQUARIUS Time-Series customers are invited to take immediate advantage of the latest enhancements by downloading Version 3.7 from the AQUARIUS 360° Support Portal. Environment monitoring agencies interested in AQUARIUS Time-Series are invited to contact aquarius@aquaticinformatics.com for a demonstration.
