Aquatic Informatics' Announces Record High Support and Maintenance Renewal Rates in the First Half of 2012

AQUARIUS 3.0 continues to impress with valuable new software releases and the expanding AQUARIUS 360 Support Portal that provides the best customer support in the industry

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 30, 2012) - Aquatic Informatics Inc., a global leader in providing innovative software solutions for hydrologic data management and analysis, announced today that the company had record high support and maintenance renewal rates in the first half of 2012. Aquatic Informatics exceeded 95% renewal rates across its worldwide customer group driven largely by significant new features and functionality built into the last two releases of AQUARIUS and the popular AQUARIUS 360 Support customer web portal.

The most recent release, AQUARIUS 3.0 R4, was extremely well-received within the growing AQUARIUS customer base with its focus on improved data centralization, increased system performance, and better reporting to meet the evolving needs of small to very large environmental monitoring organizations.

"We continue to be very happy with AQUARIUS," noted Loren Smith, Wyoming State Engineer's Office, "Our experience with the Aquatic Informatics support and maintenance team has been excellent. Our move from the AQUARIUS 2.0 to the AQUARIUS 3.0 platform has been great, and we were particularly impressed by its stability and performance in our Citrix IT environment."

The upcoming release - AQUARIUS 3.0 R5 - is also packed with new features to further enhance performance and functionality, including:

  • Improved automated data importing through enhancements to AQUARIUS Hot Folders,

  • More reports that are easier to use with additional improvements to AQUARIUS Reporting,

  • Improved performance of script calculated derived time series, which allows for more complex equation-based modeling of time series,

  • New options for automated data aggregation and calculations with the statistical derived time series feature, and

  • Improvements to the popular AQUARIUS Data Mart, which allows for easy access to your data directly from the RDBMS level using standard SQL queries.

"We know that our impressive SMA renewal rate is a key measurement of the satisfaction and enthusiasm our customers have for AQUARIUS," commented Ed Quilty, President and CEO, Aquatic Informatics. "The release of the AQUARIUS 3.0 platform this past year was a big step forward, and we have continued to significantly improve it with several patch releases. These last two releases of AQUARIUS were a huge hit with our customer base and we're excited to send them the upcoming R5 release, which continues to improve system performance. Our high renewal rate of SMA serves as strong proof that AQUARIUS is the best solution available to them, both for the short and long term."

The continued investment that customers are making in their AQUARIUS systems is all the more impressive given the challenging nature of government budgets and the general focus on fiscal restraint, particularly in the U.S. While water resource managers and hydrologists are being asked to produce more real-time water data faster, and to a wider group of stakeholders, they are also being asked to do more with less. The continued investment in Aquatic Informatics' software by customers illustrates that AQUARIUS allows hydrologists to better manage through challenging times by enabling them to drastically improve personal efficiency with tools specifically designed to effectively manage massive volumes of hydrologic data.

Customers are encouraged to visit the AQUARIUS 360° Support Portal, the active online community for AQUARIUS customers. Water resource managers around the world are invited to visit the Hydrology Corner blog to participate in unique discussions on the science of hydrology, to share their success stories, and to provide general observations on water management trends and challenges.
