DDOS & Threats to the Domain Name System

McPherson will discuss the threat of botnets, DDoS attack vectors, trends of attacks on the Domain Name System (DNS) and attack mitigation techniques.

Deployment Experience with BGP Flow

McPherson will provide an overview of a North American SPs deployment experience with BGP Flow Specification to mitigate DDoS attacks and offer network-based DDoS managed security services. The North American SP utilizes Juniper and Arbor equipment to mitigate DDoS attacks in real-time with a solution co-invented by Arbor Networks and Juniper.

APRICOT Conference Security Stream

McPherson will also be chairing the APRICOT Conference Security Stream on March 1.
