ARC China Announces Formal Launch of Activist RMB Private Equity Platform Focused on Chinese Tier II and Tier III City Chinese Domestic Consumption-Oriented Businesses

SHANGHAI, CHINA--(Marketwire - January 8, 2010) - ARC China Holdings Limited ("ARC China"), a
Hong Kong-based fund management company and merchant bank, has announced
the launch of its RMB private equity platform. It is pleased to announce
that it has partnered with the People Republic of China's ("PRC") National
Development and Reform Commission International Cooperation Center
(NDRC-ICC), as well as the Westly Group, a leading Menlo Park, California
based venture capital firm led by former California State Controller and
eBay executive Steve Westly, and 30-year investment banking and venture
capital veteran Mike Dorsey. The fund management platform will encompass a
series of local RMB funds with local Tier II and Tier III city public and
private sector partners in each region and focus on investments in
entrepreneur-owned businesses that will receive capital, an enhanced level
of corporate governance, an international network and institutional
management sophistication from ARC China's team.
