Archdiocese of San Antonio Awards Shannon Kosub With Catechist Prize

OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwired - February 24, 2016) - Archbishop Gustavo of the Archdiocese of San Antonio presented an iPad, generously donated by My Catholic Faith Delivered, to Shannon Kosub, Director of Religious Education at St. Ann Parish in La Vernia. Shannon's name was drawn from those who completed the 2015 Level 1 Online Initiative.

My Catholic Faith Delivered (MCFD) is a single, online solution that helps facilitate learning, connect your community, strengthen engagement, and share the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith with a wider audience than ever before. The Archdiocese of San Antonio uses the technology available through the MCFD platform to provide online learning for their catechists. The demand for online catechist training is increasing as more dioceses require certification for their catechists and teachers.

Shannon Kosub is a married mother of three children and has been married to her husband Glenn for 26 years. She currently runs a successful Community Charity called the LV Angels which helps the needy.

Shannon worked at the front desk for St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia when she was recruited by Pastor Father Stanislaw Fiuk from her position and was promoted to their Director of Religious Education. Shannon has been a CCD teacher as well as volunteered her time in the after school program and many other areas at her church.
