Archer Technologies Gains Market Momentum as Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance Technology Innovator

Company Growth Marked by Strong Quarter One Revenue Results, Expansion of Fortune 1000 Client Base, and Unprecedented Collaboration Among Clients, Partners and Product Experts

OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwire - April 20, 2009) - Archer Technologies, a provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced record momentum in the first quarter, fueled by client acquisition, revenue growth and industry collaboration. The company secured new business with six of the Forbes 350 and 12 of the Fortune 1000. Additionally, Archer fortified its reputation as an industry leader and community builder by bringing together more than 225 GRC experts for its annual National Summit and expanding its online GRC marketplace with pre-built integrations and applications.

"Archer has seen significant traction in the GRC market in 2009, with strong revenue growth in the first quarter and growing recognition from the analyst community," said Jon Darbyshire, Archer CEO. "As a community-driven company, we attribute our success to the collaborative relationship we share with our customers and to our talented employees, who remain committed to delivering the highest level of service, quality and innovation."

Increased Revenue and Market Presence

Coming off a year of 60 percent revenue growth in 2008, Archer posted 92 percent revenue growth in the first quarter of 2009 and added 19 global organizations within the banking, retail, insurance, healthcare, transportation and energy industries to its distinguished client base. Archer also expanded its licensed users to 6.5 million worldwide.

The first quarter of 2009 was also marked by Archer's strategic acquisition of IT-GRC solution vendor Brabeion Software Corporation -- a move that solidified Archer's acknowledged leadership in the IT-GRC market. With this acquisition, Archer has further enhanced its award-winning Policy Management solution with the most comprehensive knowledgebase of GRC content on the market, which includes more than 130 technical compliance baselines and controls, along with over 100 policies, legislative sources and industry best practices.

Expanding Client Community

The Archer Community, an online social network for clients, partners and product experts, grew to 2,000 members in the first quarter in 2009. Through the Community, GRC professionals have submitted nearly 1,500 ideas to fuel the Archer product roadmap, posted 1,800 comments and questions in the discussion forums and downloaded more than 20,000 product resources. Additionally, Community members are meeting weekly for Archer's online Working Group sessions for Policy, Risk, Incident, Business Continuity and Vendor Management -- along with the newly formed Audit Management Working Group -- to discuss solution enhancements and implementation best practices.

"Community is at the core of what Archer is about. They have a business environment in which customers feel part of the Archer team," said Michael Rasmussen, a leading GRC authority and president of Corporate Integrity, LLC. "Customer involvement in development, enhancement and expansion of the Archer platform is critical. In fact, Archer clients appear as if they have a sense of ownership and pride in the platform."

Archer also grew its concept of community through the Archer National Summit, held April 1-3 in Orlando. This event brought together more than 225 GRC professionals from 100 companies and featured over 20 client-led sessions, including presentations from Royal Ahold, Iron Mountain, DTCC, KPMG and Wells Fargo. Topics of discussion included:

-- Evolving IT-centric efforts into a true enterprise GRC program
-- Achieving rapid ROI by replacing homegrown systems with Archer
    solutions
-- The role of mobile devices within GRC programs
-- Archer's next-generation GRC platform
-- Developing a strategic roadmap to ensure long-term success

"At Iron Mountain, security is job one. We're using Archer's GRC platform as the foundation of our security, compliance and risk management strategy, and we're fortunate to have the Archer team behind us to ensure our continued success," said Phil Aldrich, information security manager for Iron Mountain. "The opportunities Archer provides to meet with our peers and learn how they are doing more with the technology are extremely valuable to us, and we are eager to implement additional Archer functionality in the coming year based on what we learned at the Summit."

Client case studies from the Archer National Summit are available on the Archer Community, where members can watch streaming video of Summit presentations to learn how their colleagues are building best-in-class enterprise GRC programs with Archer solutions. Additionally, a video of Summit highlights is publicly available on the Archer web site.

Archer's online GRC marketplace, the Archer Exchange, also expanded significantly in the first quarter of 2009 with the addition of eight new integration providers, including Application Security, Fortify, McAfee, NetIQ, Rapid7, Shavlik, Veracode and WhiteHat. These providers deliver pre-built integrations that clients can download from the Exchange and rapidly implement to centralize the management of critical business intelligence within the Archer SmartSuite Framework.
