ArchPoint Partners Advises EA Holdings, Inc. in Majority Investment From Accel-KKR

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 26, 2013) - ArchPoint Partners acted as sole financial advisor to EA Holdings, Inc. in its majority recapitalization financing with Accel-KKR. EA Holdings' businesses, National Electronic Attachment, Inc. (NEA) and Medical Electronic Attachment, Inc. (MEA), are fast-growing leaders in secure health information exchange. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

This transaction is the third successful transaction closed by ArchPoint Partners in as many weeks in the healthcare technology industry vertical. ArchPoint also recently announced that it served as sole financial advisor in the divestiture of Intuit's Health Group, and that it was sole financial advisor in the sale of Miami-based Consult-a-Doctor to Teladoc, Inc.

EA Holding's businesses, NEA and MEA, offer solutions that enable the capture, transmission and storage of medical and dental information such as medical attachments (x-rays, test reports, etc.), records and audits. The MEA and NEA businesses provide efficient, secure, and electronic-based solutions as health plans and providers increasingly seek to eliminate inefficient, paper-based processes while meeting HIPAA-related security requirements.

Lindy Benton, CEO of EA Holdings, said: "We would not have been able to achieve this outcome without the work of John Cooper and Susan Blanco, as well as the team at ArchPoint Partners. They played a critical role, and we relied on their transaction expertise and industry knowledge to create the best possible outcome for our company and our shareholders."
