Arcxis Biotechnologies Introduces a Fully Automated Device for Rapid Preparation of Nucleic Acids

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - September 18, 2007) - Arcxis Biotechnologies ("Arcxis") announced today the launch of a new device for automated isolation of RNA & DNA from biological sources. The core technology of the Lysix Workstation™ 808 is a unique and disposable plastic micro purification card (Lysix MPC™), which ensures ease of use while eliminating the risk of sample cross contamination. It insures extremely fast and reproducible results, even in the hands of any inexperienced laboratory personnel resulting in the reduction of experimental errors that are commonly encountered with other techniques that rely heavily on manual intervention.
