Arena Minerals Closes Previously Announced Private Placement Financing With Global Chilean Mining Company

Arena Minerals Inc. ("Arena" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AN) announces that it has completed its non brokered private placement financing ("the Offering") with a global Chilean mining company pursuant to which the Company has issued 3,040,000 common shares of the Company at a price of $0.14 per common share for total gross proceeds of $425,600. As of the date hereof the Company has 60,817,386 common shares issued and outstanding and the Chilean mining company has acquired approximately 5% of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company. The Company intends to use the proceeds of the Offering to further advance its Atacama copper property.

The common shares are subject to a four month and one day statutory hold period which expires on April 24, 2015. Closing of the private placement transaction remains subject to the receipt all regulatory approvals including final approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
