ARGONAUT Adds New Creative Director

David Kim Joins From Deutsch, Venables Bell & Partners

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2013) - San Francisco-based ad agency ARGONAUT announced today the appointment of Creative Director David Kim, who brings over a decade of creative agency experience with Deutsch, Venables Bell & Partners and TBWA\Chiat\Day among other renowned firms.

Kim most recently worked with Deutsch LA where he spearheaded SmileDrive, a social driving app by Volkswagen and Google that was announced at SXSW 2013 and launched in July. Prior to Deutsch, Kim was at Venables Bell & Partners, where he developed HBO's first iPhone app, earned One Show awards for his work on Slim Jim and Nestea, and launched Google's Fiber service in Kansas City. He also created Intel's "The Chase," which was awarded at Cannes Lions Festival and recognized by TED as one of the top 10 Ads Worth Spreading.

Kim started his career with Interscope Records, where he directed and choreographed former music band No Doubt's last live performance at the Billboard Music Awards in 2003. His significant work in advertising soared after moving to TBWA/Chiat/Day where he laid the groundwork for the beginning of Chiat's interactive creative production unit. Following this success, Kim launched T-Mobile's first ever entirely digital campaign for Sidekick 3 while at Publicis.
