Arhaus Is Officially Open at Dallas' NorthPark Center

The Home Furnishings Retailer Will Celebrate With a Grand Opening Party Tonight From 6 to 9 p.m. and Donate a Percent of Sales to Ronald McDonald House

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - November 14, 2014) - Arhaus officially opened its doors at 10 a.m. this morning at NorthPark Center, 8687 North Central Expressway, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The store is a 24,000 sq. ft. single-story space, located between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom on the upper level, showcasing lifestyle vignettes of handcrafted furniture and accessories, infused with the unexpected-antiques from Indonesia and Paris, exotic and everyday fresh florals (sourced locally), and hand-painted murals.

"I've been buying antiques over the past two years specifically for this store," says Gary Babcock, Chief Creative Officer for the retailer's now 53 store locations and an ecommerce site at arhaus.com.

These one-of-a-kinds vary by store location and all other designs -- from upholstery hand-assembled in North Carolina to chandeliers coming a small shop in Italy -- are exclusive to Arhaus and handmade by independent artisans all over the world. Sustainability is a large part of the Cleveland-based business story; the retailer's Rainforest Policy, a commitment not to purchase pieces made of wood harvested from the world's endangered rainforests, dates back to 1986 when the first store location in downtown Cleveland.

Today, this policy has grown. Arhaus will only source wood from vendors practicing sustainably and its artisan partners use recycled materials -- wood, metal and glass -- whenever possible.

Like other Arhaus locations, the new Dallas store features a combination of marble and oak floors, and hand-carved teak panels and doors.

Center stage are the retailer's slipcovered, leather and fitted sofas, sectionals and chairs, dining tables and chairs, bedroom furniture and private label bedding, antiques and reproductions called Relics, outdoor furniture, library and office appropriate pieces as well as media centers, an assortment of seasonally appropriate (and always changing) accessories and tableware, and NEW drapery collection.

Arhaus Dallas brings total store count in Texas to four -- 53 nationwide. Other locations can be found at The Woodlands Mall, 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive, in The Woodlands, The Domain, 3309 Esperanza Crossing, in Austin and The Centre at Post Oak, 5000 Westheimer Road, in Houston.

There's still time to RSVP for the retailer's grand opening party tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arhaus will giveaway gift cards, a complimentary design consultation and several signature designs.

Reservations will be accepted at the store or online: http:www.arhaus.com/wishlist/dallas.

Today through December 15, the retailer will donate 5 percent of every purchase to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.

Arhaus' store hours at NorthPark Center are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 6 p.m.

"Furnishing a better world." This is our philosophy; it dates back to 1986 when father and son, Jack and John Reed, opened the first store location in Cleveland and vowed never to use wood from the world's endangered rainforests in the making of an Arhaus design. Today, nearly 50 percent of our collections are made of recycled material -- everything from glass to metals like copper and wood cast off from far off lands. To ensure our values are upheld, we work with artisans who share our earth conscious beliefs and use renewable and recycled materials when crafting pieces for our stores. Sustainably sourced timbers like teak, bamboo and mango -- grown for the sole purpose of building -- are used. And because we love a good story, we use reclaimed materials whenever possible, namely wood from countries tearing down dilapidated barns, shipyards and rural structures, and we refurbish one-of-a-kind antiques that we call Relics. To further minimize our impact on the environment, our stores, corporate offices and even delivery trucks operate at maximum energy efficiency and promotional pieces are printed using soy-based ink and on recycled paper.
