SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 25, 2016) - Aria Systems, the leader in helping enterprises grow subscription and usage-based revenue, today announced it is among the first companies to receive TRUSTe validation for meeting the rigorous qualifications for the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Compliance assures that Aria meets European Union (EU) data protection requirements for personal data transferred from the EU to the U.S. in the course of doing business. This represents the latest effort by Aria Systems to deliver the highest possible standards for privacy and security to clients, who increasingly do business globally.
"With cyberattacks becoming weekly news, as evidenced by last week's massive DDoS attack, maintaining the highest level of enterprise-grade protection is paramount in our efforts to grow and build long term trusted relationships with our customers," said Tom Dibble, President & CEO of Aria Systems. "Aria is steadfast in our commitment to provide the broadest possible range of privacy and security protections which are vitally important to our enterprise clients."
The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield replaces the first cross-Atlantic data privacy agreement, the EU-U.S. Safe Harbor framework, which was invalidated last year by the European Court of Justice. The U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission worked together to develop the new framework, which was launched in July, and lists initial participants, including Aria Systems, here.
In addition, Aria holds certifications for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for healthcare data, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for organizations that handle credit cards, and the TRUSTe Privacy Seal, which provides cutting-edge consumer protections and establishes leading privacy standards for online properties.
