The Aria Billing and Subscription Management Platform's new capabilities, scheduled for General Availability this month, build on and extend Aria's current Salesforce integration and provide support for parent-child accounts as well as supplemental plans. Parent-child account models are popular in B2C markets for modeling households, where a company might have multiple mobile phone subscribers under the same family or household plan. In B2B scenarios, parent-child models are frequently used to track billing across different departments or business units inside of a parent corporation. Supplemental plans are an Aria capability that eases maintenance of multiple combinations of core and supplemental service plans without having to manage each combination as its own plan. For example, a company might want to offer three different basic levels of a SaaS application, with supplemental plans for additional storage or other add-ons.
