Top-Ranked Cloud Billing Company Taps Key Executives to Drive Worldwide Products, Services, and Field Engineering


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 5, 2015) - Aria Systems, which helps enterprises grow recurring revenue, today announced senior executive appointments to provide increased focus on the company's rapidly expanding global enterprise business. To this end, Jim Alexander has been promoted to senior vice president, customer success and worldwide services; Adeeb Shanaa has been named senior vice president, products; and Derek Choy has been appointed vice president of worldwide field engineering. All will report to President & CEO Tom Dibble. These executive appointments reflect the company's commitment to transformative monetization projects for leading global organizations.

In the past year Alexander, Shanaa and Choy have been instrumental in driving worldwide adoption and success, including the company's top cloud billing ranking in the 2015 MGI Research 360 Ratings, the inaugural, sold-out Monetize user conference, and ground-breaking cloud-billing and active monetization implementations for enterprise clients including Constant Contact, RingCentral, Sunguard Availability Services, and the Falck Group.

These appointments reflect the dramatic transformation in Aria's business, which since 2012 has more than tripled the percentage of its customer base, categorized as global enterprise organizations. During this time Aria has delivered powerful billing and active monetization solutions to meet the complex demands of global organizations that bill, provision, service, and monetize across multiple countries, geographies, currencies, languages, and time zones.

About Jim Alexander
As senior vice president of worldwide services, Jim Alexander is responsible for customer success and client implementations of Aria's Monetization Platform. He is responsible for all of Aria's post-sales initiatives including knowledge services, customer support, customer success management, and professional services. Alexander previously was vice president of customer success, and head of product management. Prior to Aria, he served as vice president of customer and order management products at Amdocs, where he provided strategic direction and leadership across the United States, Israel, India, and Vietnam.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from California State University, Hayward.

About Adeeb Shanaa
Adeeb Shanaa is senior vice president of products, and leads product development for Aria Systems. Shanaa joined the company in 2014, bringing over 20 years of enterprise software management experience to the rapidly growing company, notably, leading development, launch and commercialization of several widely-adopted SaaS offerings. Shanaa has extensive experience in cloud computing, business intelligence, and mobile applications. Prior to Aria he was an executive vice president at LogicBlox, and head of operations at C3 Energy, a smart grid analytics SaaS solutions provider. Earlier, Shanaa was CEO of Voxify, the cloud-based speech recognition PaaS provider for enterprise contact centers, and an early employee at MicroStrategy.

Shanaa holds degrees in mathematics with computer science and mechanical engineering from MIT, and was a recipient of the prestigious Hertz Fellowship for Graduate Studies.

Derek Choy leads the worldwide field engineering team at Aria Systems where he deploys his talent for creating innovative applications that not only meet today's requirements, but also anticipate what's required down the road. Prior to joining Aria, he spent eight years at eBay, where he was critical in building and operating the billing and payments platform. Choy also has developed software for AT&T and Accenture, where he consulted with Fortune 500 companies on their complex engineering and operations needs. 

He has degrees in computational fluid dynamics in aeronautical applications from Stanford University and Imperial College, London.
