Aria Systems Announces Record-Breaking Quarter

Recurring Billings and Revenue More Than Double as Company Adds New Customers, Forms New Partnerships and Launches New Platform Enhancements

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 15, 2012) -  Aria Systems, the leading provider of cloud billing and subscription management solutions, today announced a record-breaking quarter across all key metrics including new bookings, revenue and recurring billings. Recurring billings in the second quarter of 2012 increased more than 100 percent compared to the first quarter. For the first six months of the year, both recurring billings and recurring revenue more than doubled compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by new partner relationships and product enhancements, as well as the company's continued expansion of its customer base, which ranges from high-growth start-ups to global enterprises.

Customer Success
Aria Systems signed several new customer agreements, which were driven by both the increasing number of companies launching subscription commerce business models to generate more predictable, recurring revenue, and by companies with large-scale, existing subscription businesses seeking to leverage a next-generation billing and subscription platform. According to a recent report conducted by Incyte Group, nearly half of all businesses in the U.S. currently offer or are considering offering products or services on a recurring revenue basis. New Aria Systems customers include American Automobile Association (AAA) Northern California, Nevada & Utah (NCNU), Amirsys, Eniro, Experian, Jobboom, Joyent, Red Hat, Sagemcom, SocialWare and Video2Brain.

Ecosystem Expansion
Aria Systems added two strategic partners: Cognizant and Elastic Path. The companies needed an industry-proven billing and management engine for their subscription commerce solutions, and turned to the Aria Subscription Billing Platform for the breadth and depth of its functionality, as well as its proven scalability. Both partners are embedding the Aria Platform into their solutions, providing new global distribution channels for Aria Systems. In addition, the company signed agreements with three new technology partners -- Avalara, Birst and Dell Boomi -- which will increase the functionality of the Aria Platform, including simplified tax management, insight into the subscriber lifecycle and seamless integration with enterprise applications.

Product Innovation
Aria Systems introduced the Aria6™ release, the latest version of the Aria Subscription Billing Platform, which includes a more intuitive user interface, powerful monetization capabilities and an industry-first discount rules engine. Combined, these enhancements enable the Aria Platform to provide even more flexibility in how companies manage their subscription-based offerings, enabling them to more easily automate the entire subscriber lifecycle. The company also introduced two new technology connectors -- the Aria Salesforce.com Connector and the Aria BillSoft connector -- which enable clients to quickly and cost-effectively integrate their existing systems with the Aria Platform.

"Our caliber of customers and ability to enrich our partner ecosystem are further evidence of the need for our state-of-the-art platform in today's on-demand world," said Tom Dibble, president and CEO of Aria Systems. "With both established and growing companies adopting the Aria Platform, we are best positioned to deliver a complete solution that optimizes online offerings and recurring revenue streams, ensuring scalability as companies grow and evolve."
