Arianne Acquires 304 Additional Claims in the West Sector of Opinaca

SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 1, 2007) - The management of Arianne Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DAR) ("Arianne") is pleased to announce the acquisition of 304 designated cells, west of the Opinaca reservoir, James Bay, Quebec.

These claims form two distinct blocks (Komo and Wabamisk) that covers greenstone belts of the Medium and Low Eastmain within sheet 33C. Rocks of the Komo property (174 CDC pending) consist mostly of volcanites from the Komo formation (basaltes, amphibolites and rhyolites) in contact with paragneiss from the Auclair formation. This geological context is still underexplored and similar to many gold-bearing contexts of the area.

Rocks comprised within the Wabamisk property (130 CDC pending) also consist of volcanites from the Komo formation in contact with amphibolites and tufs of the Wabamisk formation and the paragneiss of the Auclair formation. This context is promising for gold, as gold showings (11.4 g/t Au on 1.3 m. and 1.24 g/t Au on 4m.) are located just west of the property in the west extension of these formations.

"These future acquisitions show that Arianne wants to consolidate its position within a promising area for the discovery of gold deposits" declared the Company's CEO, Mr. Bernard Lapointe. "by augmenting the size of our portfolio of properties, we increase our chances of successful discoveries. Exploration works will take place shortly in addition to those who will also resume (exploration and drilling) on our Opinaca property in June."
