Arizona's $1 Million Second Prize Winning Ticket Sold in Yuma

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2014) - The Arizona Lottery announces that a $1 million Mega Millions second prize winning ticket was sold in Yuma. This is one of two second prize winning tickets sold nationwide for the Tuesday, Feb. 25, drawing. This marks the third Mega Millions $1 million second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona since the Mega Millions game was redesigned in October 2013.

The winning ticket was sold at a retailer located at 1415 E. 16th St. in Yuma. The winning numbers were 12 - 18 - 25 - 35 - 66, MB 15. The winning ticket matched five out of five numbers drawn, not including the Mega Ball. Players can check their tickets by visiting ArizonaLottery.com.

"We are thrilled that another Arizona player has won a $1 million Mega Millions second prize, especially after last week's exciting $1 million Powerball® win in Chandler," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products, and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We are excited that the number of new millionaires statewide is continuing to grow, and we look forward to presenting the check to the winner."

The Mega Millions game was redesigned Oct. 22, 2013, to have faster growing jackpots, a $1 million second prize, and better overall odds of winning any prize, while remaining $1 per ticket.

The next Mega Millions draw is Friday, Feb. 28, for an estimated $216 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.

Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game. All sales are final. In accordance with the ADA, these materials may be made available in an alternative format. Gambling Problem? Call 1.800.NEXT STEP (1-800-639-8783). Please Play Responsibly™.
