Arkadin Taps MetraTech to Monetize CSP Collaboration

Newly Released MetraNet 6.5 to Provide Billing, Compensation for Arkadin's Worldwide Business

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2011) - MetraTech Corp., the leading provider of agreements-based billing (ABB™) and compensation solutions, today announced that Arkadin will deploy its MetraNet™ solution to provide billing and compensation for its worldwide business. Arkadin will be the first to deploy MetraNet 6.5, which was recently released. Arkadin, a global leader in audio, Web and video conferencing, views MetraNet as both the critical monetization component in its future market strategy and a strategic asset that will help it to realize its corporate goals.

The catalyst for the worldwide deployment came from a new initiative aimed specifically at Arkadin's communications service provider (CSP) partners. The company works with carriers to provide repackaged unified communication solutions that deliver improved margins and top-line revenues. Arkadin is significantly expanding its efforts in this area, with plans to roll out a new program by the end of 2012. With a firm launch deadline, Arkadin sought to solve a primary need early on in the process -- monetization.

As a result, Arkadin chose MetraNet in part for the solution's ability to enable the pricing and charging of any service and manage and compensate partners for any number of business models. With a critical time-to-market need, Arkadin also noted MetraTech's track record of delivering major IT projects in record times.

"This deployment is one of the most important investments ever realized by Arkadin in meeting the challenging demands of our key enterprise customers," said Stanislas Pilot, chief operating officer of Arkadin. "These customers want to negotiate tailored agreements that match their unique needs and consumption patterns, while being rewarded for their total spend across all regions and products. They also want to summarize usage by department or their corporate hierarchy in increasingly flexible ways. MetraTech will enable us to meet these and other demands and transform our billing operation into a strategic asset."

Arkadin selected MetraNet as part of a best-in-class approach in which it also chose Capgemini, one of the global leaders in consulting, IT services and outsourcing as its systems integration partner. The three companies are working together on the implementation.

"The conferencing and collaboration market is rapidly evolving with a more direct link between audio conferencing, Web conferencing, telepresence, social networking, unified communications and meeting collaboration tools such as virtual whiteboards and real-time presentation sharing," said Scott Swartz, founder and CEO of MetraTech Corp. "It is also experiencing rapid innovation in bundling schemes and distribution strategies. Arkadin understands the competitive need to make complex relationships profitable via an open, configurable billing and compensation solution that delivers faster time-to-revenue at a lower cost. That's exactly what MetraTech provides."

MetraTech's MetraNet automates business processes and models to address rapidly changing or innovative strategies throughout business lifecycles. Based on the concept of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) that makes it easy to create, add or replace existing services, MetraNet is particularly well suited for sales-driven business models that have multi-party partnership arrangements and integrated channel compensation programs.
